Kennedy’s Baptism

Kennedy was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Sunday, October 21st at Toguchi Beach.

What a special day it was for Kennedy and our little family.  We couldn’t have been blessed with a more beautiful day.  The sun was shining, and the water was so calm.  We were blessed to be able to share the day with so many wonderful friends.  We only wished that our extended families could have been there too! Kennedy was so excited.  When we got home, she ran in the house to look in the mirror and exclaimed, “Mom, do you see that?!  I have an extra sparkle in my eye now!” We are so happy that Kennedy made the decision to follow Jesus Christ and be baptized.

Oh my, I can’t believe she is that big. Where did all these years go. I remember when Matt and Brian were baptized. You guys must had an amazing day. I think this is the most wonderful baptism ever. Did you get to choose to be baptized in the ocean, or do they not have fonts in the ward house. Amazing. Miss you

    • We attend a branch, and the church rents the building we meet in. No baptismal font. We actually broke ground on a new church building on Saturday. What a blessing it will be. Being baptized in the East China Sea will be one of the special memories we have of Okinawa. It was truly the perfect day! 🙂

That is amazing. Did your parents get to come? You are so far away The kids are getting so big. Wasn’t your little guy 4 in October too. Wow, when are you coming to the states to live?

        • No grandparents or family. We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends here. We have a great branch family too! Yes, Nathan is 4! We are moving back to Virginia this coming summer, but it’s only for a year. We have really loved living here. There is so much we will miss.

The pictures were amazing. It does look like a perfect day for such a sacred ordinance. Definitely wishing we could’ve been there, but what a special opportunity for Kennedy to be baptized in the South China sea surrounded by wonderful friends/gospel family! Made my eyes water! So proud of beautiful Kennedy and her new sparkle in her eye!
