The easy street is often a dead end!

This month has been challenging for me.  Brian deployed to an unknown location for an unknown amount of time.  Not knowing details drives me batty!!  I have to have my days planned out.  I am VERY detail oriented!   I am adjusting and I’m pretty sure it’s good for me.  However, right after Brian left, I got really sick.  I was downright miserable.  It’s been only through the daily pleading with my Heavenly Father that we’ve made it through the weeks.  Obviously some days are better than others.  As to not worry anyone unduly,  we are doing just fine.

For mother’s day my Mom and Dad gave me a fun little book on motherhood written by Hilary Weeks.  This quote from Elder M. Russell Ballard has been a bit of a theme for this week. ” First, recognize that the joy of motherhood comes in moments.  There will be hard times and frustrating times.  But amid the challenges, there are shining moments of joy and satisfaction….”

I am so grateful for those shining moments and my mostly sweet kiddos! 😉  I truly feel blessed and taken care of, even without my hubby!

That bright shiny face says it all – too cute and too rascally (Is that a word? Well…it is now!) ! Hang in there …although it is definitely easier to hang in if only you know for exactly how long. :0) Pretty sure most lawyers and their wives don’t have quite the amount of adventure in their lives that you two do!

Wishing you the very very best. Mike travels regularly for work, but it is definately nice to be able to count down the minutes till his return. I got to sit by your Mom in Relief Society a few weeks ago and it was nice to get an update. You are amazing and sooooo inspiring!

Thanks Nat! That’s so important to remember. Glad you survived alright. That sounds rough! You are one tough girl.

I’m glad you’re feeling better! It’s so wonderful to have things to cling to when times are hard. I agree with Tiffany, you are amazing and inspiring!

Ah Sis, I wish I was there to keep you company, give you a break from those kiddos, and take care of you when you’re sick. So glad Bri is home now! Love you!

Sometimes the low and lonely times make the good times even sweeter. Sorry you had to add sick to Brian being gone. I know when we know he is gone the prayers are just a little bit longer. Thanks for being strong for him and those angel kids!

What a wonderful quote! I’m so sorry that you got sick right during that trying time. Here I am writing after the fact and Brian is safe home with you. I’m glad things are looking better for you! You are an amazing woman, wife and mother! Thank you for your example!

    • Brian has actually been gone to New Orleans for about the last week and a half! We get him back very late on Sunday and are so excited!! We are just grateful that he was able to pit stop at home long enough to celebrate the kids birthdays!
