We just spent the last several days in lockdown while Typhoon Muifa partied on our island….and wouldn’t leave!!!  A friend of mine who’s from the Seattle area posted that the average annual rainfall there is 36.2 inches.  In the last 48 hours we had 41 inches of rainfall in Okinawa from Muifa alone!  It was CrAzY and  wet.  We fared very well, but I can’t say the same for all of our friends!  Tons of flooding, power outages, and landslides.  We passed the time with lots of crafts, food, movies, video games, and indoor dodgeball.  Good times!! 🙂

I was so happy when I checked this morning and found you had finally gotten the all clear to come out of lock – down!! That was a crazy long time to be in “typhoon party” mode!! Glad you didn’t have all the nasty issues to deal with that some have had!! A blessing to be sure and an answer to prayers!! 🙂 I can only imagine what the base looks like now! SAD!!!

WOW! I’m glad you survived so well and were watched over. We could sure use some of that rain but not all at once like that!
