Last week was spring break for us, and the weather was beautiful. Brian took off Thursday and Friday from work so we could play a little. We couldn’t resist the warm weather, and so we decided to go visit Grayton Beach State Park. Grayton Beach consistently ranks among the most beautiful and pristine beaches in the United States. After visiting, we can now see why it is so popular. It has large dunes, winding trails to hike, and plenty of wildlife to enjoy. I especially love the gorgeous magnolia trees. There’s also the shimmering Western Lake (a true coastal dune lake) that you can paddle a canoe or kayak on, and gorgeous white sand beaches! We packed a picnic and headed off on our adventure. This was a much better choice considering the beaches 5 minutes from our house were packed with tourists on spring break too! We decided that maybe next time we will camp there too!
***Brian told me today that Grayton Beach State Park is booked for a YEAR if you want to camp there!! Guess we won’t be doing that before we move to Japan!)
What could be better than spending the day with the people you love in such a beautiful sunny place?
Like I said, just another day in paradise!
