Daddy’s HOME!!!

The kids and I decked out the house ready for Daddy to come home.  We chalked messages in the driveway, and painted posters too!  We definitely needed  to have something to do to keep us occupied while we waited for the night to come, and our Daddy to come home!

The kids were so good waiting for Daddy, even though it was WAY past their bedtimes!  Kennedy was SO tired, and SO excited!  When Kennedy caught site of her Daddy, she chucked her poster, and took off in a full sprint!  It was adorable!  Nathan’s little face just light up!  He knew exactly who was coming our way!

Finally, TOGETHER AGAIN!!!  I don’t think I could have smiled any bigger!!!  I was nervous about seeing Brian again (it had been 7 months), but that all disappeared the minute I saw him!  What a relief!

Daddy had his arms full of his kiddos for the rest of the night!  We were all in heaven!  Thank you to all the friends that came out to welcome him home with us  (and carry his guns & HUGE bag)!

This is how Daddy spent most of the first week!  It was a tough adjustment!  After all, he flew to FIVE different countries on his way home to the USA!!  I think we wore Daddy out!  We play hard, and the time difference was a little brutal!

It was sad to have to send him back to work on Monday.  We just can’t get enough of him!

ok, this is one cute blog post. I am so excited for you. Your faces are all lit up like a Christmas tree. My favorite picture is Bri asleep on the sofa with ONE SOCK on. It reminds me of the time he came to stay with Matt, and Matt came down stairs about 8 o’clock and said, “Brian is asleep, and I can’t wake him up.” I tried to explain that some kids went to bed at a decent hour. Then the corker was that Brian was rarin to go at 6:30 A.M. and the rest of us, including Matt, were sound asleep. He came in my room, and told me he thought he needed to go home. I hurried and made him breakfast and the two boys started to play. That is Brian, give him a home cook meal, a book, and an early night, and he is a party animal. Love ya, Mama Inglet

What a cute post!!! You can feel the excitement in the air just from the pictures. I love the one of Bri holding both kids – the looks on their faces are all so sweet and I love Kennedy’s arm around Nate-Nate! Adorable! Welcome Home Bri-Guy ! We have all missed you! 🙂

  • Natalie! I am so glad your hubby is home! You decorated so cute for him 🙂 I’m sure he loved it. I’m so glad I’ve gotten to know you these past few months. Although the time was short I’m so glad we got to be friends 🙂 And I’m excited to stay in contact via blog. Enjoy that hubby!

I’m so glad that he’s back safe and sound. What a relief to have your little family all back together again. That would be hard to let him go back to normal life again after not seeing him for so long. I love your cute posters. Kennedy and Nathan look so happy to see their daddy again. Glad it went well!!

  • So happy for your family, glad you are all together again!

Yay! I can just imagine how excited those little ones (and you) were. And it shows in the pictures. So cute! We’re very glad Bri is home safely too. Just wish we could actually see him soon.

  • Welcome home to Brian!!! I bet you are all in heaven! Congrats on your move to Japan – who would have guessed? What a fun adventure! It was fun seeing all your updates (I haven’t checked your blog in quite a while.) I liked the post about caged tigers – that’s how these winter months are here – I’m not a fan. The girls get so bored and antsy (and end up fighting like caged tigers A LOT!).
Is Brian going to be deployed again? Well, Enjoy having your family all together again – I’m sure you are!

You made me cry. I can’t imagine being away from my hubby for that long! And that is soooo brutal to send him back to work on Monday! He needs like a month at least!

  • I LOVE BLOGS and I’m so happy you have one! So you married a military man! JAPAN!? How cool is that! Christopher did a 6 year stint in the National Guard but was never deployed. He is out now.

Your kids are beautiful! When was Kennedy born? Elodie’s birthday is Sept. 3rd and she is kindergarten too. Addysen is 22 months now. They are so fun- I love having 2 girls. It’s expensive but so fun!

Hey, send me your address so I can mail you a christmas card! 😉

Love ya! We did have some great times in Idaho! Love Ricks
