Our Beautiful Ballerina

Tuesday was Kennedy’s last day of dance class. The little girls each got a certificate. Kennedy thought it was pretty great. She has really enjoyed dance this year and is becoming more and more graceful!

I thought she looked like a movie star! She felt pretty neat too!

Saturday was Kennedy’s official recital. I must say it was quite the production. Kennedy had been VERY nervous until Saturday came, and then she was just so excited. She could hardly stand it! Grandma and Grandpapa Hatt came into town to be there for the special day. We were all VERY sad that Daddy had to miss out, but I was able to video tape the dances so Daddy can watch his little ballerina too! Kennedy loves to dance and she basically does it all day long! She did great! One little girl in her dance class couldn’t find her spot on the stage, so she spent the whole ballet number looking for her mark. I felt bad. I was happy that wasn’t Kennedy. These little girls worked so hard preparing for this night. However, when it came to the tap number the little girl ran out on the stage ahead of the other girls. When she found her spot she gave their instructor a thumbs up and the other girls went on stage. Both numbers were absolutely adorable! I was such a proud mama! My little girl looked so grown up. It really hit home that she’s growing up. Things for us are changing fast! We love our little ballerina!
Kennedy’s little dance class: Emma, Ava, Kennedy covered :o(
(A friend took this for me. ), Stella, Laura, and Rachel.
Kennedy with her dance instructor Miss Pam before the performance!
A candy lei from Kennedy’s friends Ava and Stella. Dance wouldn’t have been the same without them!
Blowing kisses to Daddy who’s SO far away! We love you and miss you SO much! I bet you got the kisses though didn’t you?
There was a cute statue of people dancing outside the Mattie Kelly Arts Center where the recital was held. It was really nice there!
