New Beginnings is over…

PHEW!!
As most of you know, I am the Young Women President in our ward. I love my calling and I love my girls even more. However, it is SO much work. Last night we had our New Beginnings. This is a special night for the Young Women and their parents. I am so relieved to have it done. We have been planning and preparing for months! I get so stressed sometimes! It all turned out really nice though. I had 9 girls there, which is amazing considering that we had only about 3 girls coming just 6 months ago. The growth has been amazing! Our theme was “The Game of Life”, and it was all centered around sports. We turned the cultural hall into a football stadium and it was really fun. The girls all participated along with the leaders and it went fairly smoothly! I forgot to take pictures, but one of my counselors did, so I am hoping to get some pictures from her. I did take a picture of the 50 cupcakes I decorated!! I am certainly breathing a little easier today. You would think that I would be used to it by now, but I just get so NERVOUS when I have to talk in front of people.

Here’s more pictures that my counselor took..

Wow! That does sound like a lot of work. That was a very cute idea to have a sports theme. Those cupcakes are adorable! I get really nervous about speaking in front of people too. I can totally relate! I’m sure you did a great job, though. You deserve a little break!

The cupcakes look too cute to eat! It’s amazing how all the little details add up to become a stressful production, especially when you’re in charge! It is nerve wracking to speak in front of people no matter how much practice you’ve had! It sounds like a great turn out. My mom is the YW Pres. in her ward. They had mutual last night and 1 girl showed up. So that’s phenomenal growth!

Oh Nat, they turned out so cute!!! You are getting to be quite the professional cake (& cupcake) decorator!! Just think you used to volunteer to give every talk you could in Primary!! Oh yea, that was back when you didn't like to sleep either. My things do change! 🙂

PS That was MOM not Katie!! I never notice that she has signed in until after I get my comment all written. Then if I switch to my account, I lose my comment and have to start over!!

Natalie, you are so awesome in every way. Your cupcakes are terrific and I am so impressed that 9 girls came! Obviously I had a nervous breakdown so you could be YW President 🙂

You have been BUSY! The cupcakes turned out very cute and I know the whole activity was a success! That’s great that so many girls are coming! I know what you mean about getting nervous about things and hating to speak in front of people. But you always do wonderful at everything you do!

What a fun New Beginnings activity. I love that feeling of having a big program over and to have so many come is wonderful. Sometimes its just that they feel special for the day that keeps them trying! We are thankful for your dedication in all you do!
