Well, one thing is certain, our life is always changing and never dull! We were all geared up for Brian to deploy to Germany in just a few short weeks and we found out he’s not going now.
However, he is deploying to Iraq in May for 6 months. This means that we will have to wait to make our trip to Germany until he gets back. Kennedy was so funny she said, “Well, then we’ll just have to go ALL the way to Iraq!”
It was a shock at first, but we have all adjusted to the idea and we are very happy for Brian. He is away at a special operations conference and he told me Thursday, “Man, this stuff is awesome. I just love it. If I didn’t have a family and I could deploy all the time it would be so cool!!!” I told him he better be careful what he wishes for, because Friday we heard he was going to Iraq- and he does have a family!!! He is pumped for the awesome career growth that he will get out there and the opportunities that he will have out there prosecuting the “real bad dudes”. Kennedy told him, “I think you should just put the terrorist in the trash!” I guess that’s one way to take care of the problem! We love you and support you in all you do honey! Here’s to…

Yes a shock, but I know there are no coincidences in this life. The Lord has a hand in all things. I have complete confidence in Brian and in the Lord that his experience in Iraq will bless him and those around him in the future. We are so thankful for Natalie and Kennedy and Nathan who keep their home secure and loving in his absence. We count that as a great blessing. We are here to support you in any way we can. We love you so much!!!

Your family is amazing! I am so glad that we have such selfless people (like Brian)protecting our country from those bad dudes! I have to agree with Colleen that there is an abundance of love in your family and home regardless of the chaos around you! We really look up to your family! Thanks for being such good examples! Lots of love!

Hey Bri – I hope the mission is a big success so you have lots of terrorists to “put in the trash”! Don’t worry Grandpa can’t wait to fill in for you at the dance recital! Those were always a BIG favorite of his! Tee hee!! Did you LOVE Monticello? Jefferson was such an amazing guy!! Love to all of our Florida kids!

Oh wow! Off to Iraq instead of Germany. Isn’t that a huge difference? Seriously, I guess you never know with the government. I hope all is well with you guys.
