Christmas Day

We had a pretty simple Christmas day. Kennedy stayed in her room until 7 Am when Brian and I came to get her and let her know that Santa had come. She was very concerned about making sure she didn’t catch him, because she wanted to be sure he left her presents. She was so cute when she ran out and saw her stack of gift and the empty Santa cookie plate. She was so pleased that the reindeer seemed to enjoy the celery. She was really worried since we ran out of carrots. She loved that Santa dropped some caramel candies in our fireplace. We opened gifts, ate breakfast, and spent the rest of the day talking with family and playing with our new toys. Nathan surprised us by REALLY enjoying his train he got. We figured he wouldn’t care too much, but he literally threw a fit when Brian and I cleaned it up. He stopped crying when we set him on the floor next to it. Seriously kids are smarter than we give them credit for!

Wow, I can’t believe Brian is old enough to have 2 kids. You will understand someday when you see Kennedy’s friends become Mommys. I have known Brian since he was 2 or 3 years old, and so this is so strange. You certainly have cute kids though. I love the shirt Brian chose to wear Christmas day, and Matt would highly approve too- GO COUGARS.
Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR. Love, Mama Inglet

Stayed in her room until 7 – holy cow – that was a festivus miracle! 🙂 You don’t think that whole gimic about Santa catching her would work every morning would it? 🙂 Oh, what a cutie!

Nathan’s Christmas is cracking me up because it is just like Ayla’s… same Gymboree jammies from big sibling, same train, and same ball popping toy. I imagine that means we are going through some of the same parenting stages… are you getting any sleep? Well, it’s fun seeing what you are up to.
