We love Bike rides to the “beach”

We have had beautiful warm weather and the last few days we have been on several bike rides a day.  Kennedy loves to ride her bike to the end of the street. At the end of the street it runs into the “beach”.  It actually is the bayou.  The sand is certainly not as nice as the ocean beaches, but you can’t beat a bike ride to the water and sand.  She loves to make birthday cakes out of sand for her billions of pretend children and grandchildren. It’s also fun to look at the ducks, pelicans,  and cranes.  We’ve seen some other creatures we just weren’t sure what they were.  There are lots of fish, clams, and crabs.  There is a nice little sandy area right by the sea wall that she has claimed as her house.  She got just a little upset when a boy was digging a gigantic hole in the middle of her living room.  The nerve of him!  She makes me laugh.

what a perfect little beach gal!! I love the flower in her hair, it adds a nice ‘beachy’ touch!! seriously though, she is so darn cute, but way too young to be pretending that she has grandchildren!! lol!!

That reminds me of the imaginary store she had set up at Snowbird. She was quite upset when the little boy sat down on her raspberries!!! Those little boys are just SOOO rude!!! What a little beach bum – I want to be one too!!!

I’m jealous. It snowed here yesterday. For real.

I would have been mad if a total stranger started digging a hole in my living room too! ha ha!! What a cutie!
I haven’t been checking (or posting) blogs for a while so I missed your happy announcement – CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am so excited for you guys!
Carly asks me every single day when I am going to have a baby sister! I just say “a long time”. That’s too bad that you are so sick though. That is definitely a big reason why it will be “a long time” before there is another one (although, hopefully not too long!)
Anyway I’m so happy for you and can’t wait to see some prego pictures of you – I bet you are the cutest little thing. I love reading your blog, keep it up!

I am so glad to have found you! Kennedy is getting so big and absolutely darling. What fun adventures you are having, and what a dream come true to live close to the sand. Sounds wonderful. I am so excited for your new baby! And what a lucky baby to have such a fun family and such a great big sister.

That’s so nice that you can walk to the beach!!! I hope that it’s helping you feel a little better to get out that much.
